To use the daily broadband unlimited product one needs to purchase a Celcom Prepaid XPAX 3G SIM pack. The SIM is voice enabled as well allowing one to make voice calls in addition to accessing Celcom's data network. There are various voice prepaid packages to choose from although the user does not have to do this upon activation; a default package is pre-selected.
Foreigners must produce their passport in order to purchase a pre-paid SIM.
Details of the daily unlimited 3G data package is located here including details on how to subscribe:

Additionally, the prepaid menu can be accessed by dialling
*118# - unlimited daily 3G can be activated via that menu, as well as many other service options.
Cost / Speed:The cost of the daily access is
RM6; this is a new permanent rate as of Jan-09. Note that the speed of the daily broadband package is limited to UMTS(3G) ie.
384kbps only.
Based on feedback from some local forums it is advisable to have as little prepaid credit in the SIM as possible as Celcom's billing system has been known to "act out of character" by continuously deducting credit from the SIM's prepaid balance although the user had subscribed to the daily unlimited package. The only recourse when this happens is to contact Celcom's customer service line as provided on their website.

iPhone 3G note: As of Nov-08, Celcom's 3G infrastructure was not compatible with the iPhone 3G, and would result in frequent data drops (verified with 3 different iPhone 3G's w/ 3 different SIM's). Celcom does not have an EDGE infrastructure, so disabling 3G would result in a drop to GPRS speeds.
