In Iceland, there are two major providers of Mobile Prepaid Sim Cards:

Vodafone:

As of May 25, 2009, they have the better offer. Basically, you can just walk into any Vodafone shop, buy the prepaid Sim Pack for 2,500 Krona (includes 2,000 Krona of load) and you are off and running. No need to wait or to enter any settings or call any numbers.
The price per MB is 69 Krona.

APN for Prepaid is: gprs.is (vmc.gprs.is ONLY for postpaid subscribers)
Username and Password: blank

Simmin:

They supposedly have better coverage in Iceland but, the cost per MB is 200 Krona. Pretty expensive. It was not a plug and play situation like it was with Vodafone. I basically had to go back to the store to have them play around with the phone before it worked. Basically, they had to enable WEB access via their computer system for me to be able to access the web.
