Greenland Operates a GSM 900 frequency. There is only 1 provider and it is Greenland Tel as of June 10, 2009. This is how it works:

You go to a Tele Post (this is the post office of any city) and you buy a prepaid TUSASS sim card. It cost 400KR and it comes with 200KR credit. You may need to ask the person in the store to SMS you the internet settings for WAP Settings.

In my case, what arrived was the WAP settings and the MMS settings. INTERNET settings did not come in.

I could surf the web using the WAP settings but, somehow, I could not get Fring or my USB Modem (with laptop) settings to work with the WAP settings. I then figured out that WAP setting is different from INTERNET settings.

So, you have to configure your phone with the following INTERNET settings if you want fring to work:

APN: internet
Usernamne: blank
Password: blank

Cost per MB is 10KR. As of June 10, 2009, there is only GPRS coverage. Also, at least in my case, I could not send out, or receive SMS to international numbers. At least the Philippines, that is.
