Anonymous Experience using WIND data services 0 Oct 23 2009, 12:06 PM EDT by Anonymous

I am in Greece (October 2009) and have bought two NS 7 data packages from WIND on the island of RHODES.

The first transaction went perfectly. I bought a SIM card for €5, added an extra €15 credit and then bought a 7-day/24gb service by sending NS 7 to 19595.

Everything worked perfectly but the maximum download was 50k and upload 10k. I was using an HSDPA mobile and the speed never improved.

Here is the warning. Once the 7-day period was over I added more credit and bought another NS 7 package. Disaster.

First of all my credit was reduced by €8 because I had continued to use the mobile beyond the 7 day period.....even though I monitored the start/stop of the 7-day period.

Well you learn things! Then the following day the data connection stopped working and I went to a WIND shop.

They then told me that I hadn't successfully registered the second time for NS 7. I showed them the text message requesting the service and they said this often happens.

The staff then called customer service - they were on hold for 64 minutes - and got them to rest my account balance and give me back the credit. All was to be confirmed by text 1 hour later.........I'm still waiting for the text.

So I dumped my SIM, bought a new one and started all over again.

Buyer beware!

for 20 days i travel in Greece, so the previous suggestion helped a lot .. thanks. can i find free WiFi hot-spots (in Paralia) or the package (10e / 2 days; 30e / 7 days) the only solution for unlimited access? This WAP connection on Cosmote does not account for certain, has many prohibitions.
