Germany - SimyoThis is a featured page

Simyo - http://www.simyo.de is another MVNO on the E-Plus network, which is based on EGSM900, GSM1800 and UMTS2100. The GSM network is currently under the process of EDGE-upgrade, while a few HSDPA-enabled cells have been sighted in large cities. However E-Plus does not implement HSDPA to increase users' bandwidth, but to increase the capacity on the air-interface and so bandwidth is being throttled to 500 KBit/s, which means E-Plus has still the worst network for data in Germany.

Simyo SIM cards can be ordered online only.

The regular data price is € 0.24/MB.

From November 17th, 2008 a data pack of 1 GB has been introduced (for 10.-€), which is valid for 30 days. Exceeding traffic is billed with € 0.24/MB unless another pack is ordered. The subscription is automatically renewd after 30 days. The option can however be immediately disabled on the website, so that it can be used until its natural expiration without automatic renewal.
