France - Auchan
- 30€ for a SIM card = 5 H of communication (50 Mo limit), to be used within 45 days
- recharges available from 7€ for 1 H limited to 10 Mo up to 75€ for 20 H limited to 200 Mo.
- MVNO of Bouygues, might be currently limited to their EDGE network.
- As other French prepaid offers, the validity periods are rather small. The first 30 euros are valid for 45 days.
- A 45 euro top up for 100 MB is valid for 60 days (0.45 euro / megabyte)
- A 75 euro top up for 200 MB is valid for 90 days (0.38 euro / megabyte)
- APN: amobile.fr (taken from Installation instructions: 'Veillez à ce que l’APN amobile.fr soit bien renseigné dans le menu Paramètres')

I see this was over a year ago, but I had bought one last year in Sept - tried to just buy the sim and they did try it with my unlocked 3 dongle in the store in Calais, but it wouldn't work, so I ended up buying a dongle - then €99 - and was told that if I needed - next year (this) I could just buy the sim for 29.90 - well this year on 1st Sept I was again at Calais, only they no longer sell just the sim anyway, even if you have the hardware, so I had to buy another dongle, exactly the same - but for €29.90 - so same price .... daft or what... and am still not too happy with it. There is now no longer a €75 topup online or instore.... and I used it purely for emailing....

After reading this page, i recently decided on buying the Auchan Hypercard in Perpignan. On having a Hsdpa Mobile as a modem , i wanted to buy the Sim without the Hardware. (USB-Stick). Auchan refused to do this and explainend, that the card will not work without their Hardware. The parameters and drivers needed, are provided by the Hardware with an enclosed CD. Auchan only sells the Card without Hardware on case you have bought the Hardware and your card has expired. The same information was given to me in an Orange- Mobile store. They wanted to sell their Hardware too. Has anyone other information ?.
