Yesss is now selling for 55 euros a starting package including a Huawei E160 unlocked 3G modem, and a data SIM card with 2 GB of data, valid for 12 months.
The SIM card can also be used to receive incoming phone calls, put you need to top it up to be able to make phone calls. SMS and phone calls rate are quite cheap (9cts/min I think)
The package can be bought in the Hofer, but it's really hard to find them. You can also order them through the Yesss webpage, including free shipping.

Used the YESS SIM card in my HP IPAQ smartphone while on holiday in Austria near Zell Am See last September for 2 weeks. The ability to buy a SIM only solution was the key as I did not need a USB modem that typically comes with most options of this type.

Took a bit to set it up (the instructions on this site were invaluable). Got 3G connections while in larger towns, GPRS in more remote areas. Worked well, though slow with GPRS when using the "internet sharing" feature on my IPAQ phone with my laptop.

Bottom line is it gave me 2 weeks of internet access/email for 20 Euros which was very useful. Ability to use for voice calls was also excellent. I managed to actually use less than 10 Euros of air time during that period, so I will be curious to see if the card is still usable this September when I return to Austria (almost exactly 12 months from date of purchase.

I was glad to find this info on the web.

When in Austria, I purchased a wireless modem and card, which as an intro gave 3GB. The speed was adiquite and I finally used the 3GB and was ready for another sim card.
As mentioned in the information the new card was for one GB for 12mos or two GB for one month. However, I do not read German and the loading of the new card was very time consuming and I could not figure out how to get the 2GB for one month?

My reason for posting this information is to ask if there is a way to have the loading information in English? If not could someone please send me information on how in simple language, to chose the one month for 2GB? I have business in Austria and often need the computer. My email is adventfirst@yahoo.com
